There was pretty good activity in the woods today, with a decent variety of warblers, including at least 15 Palm. Waterbirds were pretty slow this morning:
Common Loon-3
Red-necked Grebe-1Great Blue Heron-1
Baird's Sandpiper-2
Short-billed Dowitcher-1
Bonaparte's Gull-1
It was better this evening:
Common Loon-1
Red-necked Grebe-47
Grebe Sp.-2
Killdeer-1
Sanderling-7
Bonaparte's Gull-1

Hey Jason,
Nice pics and the updates are much appreciated! Just wanted to say that your Baird's is a juv. Least though, note the yellow legs, short primaries, and 'surprised' look, as well as a really reddish orange back!
Thanks-To let you know though, I wasn't calling this bird a Baird's. I didn't have any decent pics of any birds that day, so I thought a pic of a shorebird that's been around lately is better than nothing. Here's a link to the best Baird's pic I've gotten this fall, which isn't that great. (I tagged my photos that day under Baird's.)

Just checking haha. I'll probably be over a few times later in August - keep any rarities there for me!
